Arturo A. Zevallos

Arturo A. Zevallos, known affectionately as Arturo to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2026, in Passaic, New Jersey, at the age of 92.

Born on August 17, 1933, in the scenic town of Cutervo, Peru, Arturo's journey in life was marked by his tenacity, warmth, and the joy he brought to those around him.

Arturo's early years in Peru laid the foundation for a life characterized by hard work and devotion to family. His move to the United States brought new opportunities, where he established himself as a respected maintenance technician with Bed Bath and Beyond in Totowa. His colleagues remember him as a man who could fix anything—a handyman who approached every task with passion and spirited dedication.

Despite his busy work life, Arturo found solace and happiness in simple pleasures. He was a man who enjoyed the camaraderie of a good card game and the quiet moments spent with a cigarette in hand. His Christian faith was a guiding light throughout his life, providing him with strength and a sense of community.

Arturo's legacy is carried on by his loving family. While his beloved wife, Graciela Bujica, and several brothers and sisters predeceased him, his spirit lives on through his children, Iris Lopez, Graciela Zevallos, and Mercedes Mercado, all of Clifton; Arturo Zevallos of Teaneck; and Robert Zevallos of Clifton. His role as a grandfather and great-grandfather was one he cherished deeply, and his six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren will continue to be inspired by the stories and memories of their adored patriarch.

Arturo's life was a testament to the enduring power of love, family, and hard work. Those who knew him will remember his infectious laugh, his boundless enthusiasm, and the care he invested in every relationship. As we bid farewell to Arturo, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with purpose, joy, and an unquenchable zest for living.

In his passing, Arturo leaves behind a world that he made brighter with his presence. He will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. As we honor his memory, we take solace in knowing that Arturo A. Zevallos lived a life that was truly meaningful and that his impact will be felt for generations to come.

Visitation will be 9:30 am- 12:30 pm on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Bizub-Quinlan Funerals Home, 515 Lexington Ave., Clifton. There will be a Funeral Service at 12:30 pm followed by an interment at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Paterson.
