Maria H. Arriaga

Maria H. Arriaga, 98, of Clifton died Sunday, December 28, 2025 at Hackensack University Medical Center, Hackensack, NJ.

Born in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Mrs. Arriaga came to the United States in 1970 settling first in Paterson before moving to Clifton. She was a retired seamstress who worked in the Paterson textile industry.

Mrs. Arriaga attended The Kingdom Hall of Paterson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Segundo S. Tamayo; her three children, Jorge, Hugo and Cecilia Tamayo and her parents, Nicanor Arriaga and Beatriz Erazmo.

Survivors include: her two sons, Jose Tamayo of Paterson and Segundo Tamayo of Hampton Bays, NY; several grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Friday, January 2, 2025 at Bizub-Quinlan Funeral Home, 515 Lexington Avenue, Clifton. There will be a Funeral Talk at 3:15 pm. Private Cremation to follow.
